"On a moonless night in a dense wet forest you might be so lucky as stumble upon a beautiful emerald glowing light in your path. Foxfire is a bioluminescent fungi that is at the heart of numerous folk tales and a highlight of my own childhood. Descriptions as old as Aristotle tell of the 'cold fire' being used to light the path at night, or to read by in the darkness.
